Psychodynamic Therapist MBACP
Fiona Barratt PG AdvDip MBACP
Fiona is a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and a registered member of the BACP. She provides a safe and non-judgmental space to explore any issues that are affecting your life. These can include general feelings of stress, anxiety and depression, as well as more specific issues such as bereavement, sexual trauma, relationship breakdowns and support with addiction. She provides therapy in person, online or by telephone.
Fiona will work with you to try to understand how unhelpful past behaviours may be causing difficulties for you in the present, and to help you work through intrusive or unwelcome thoughts. Using the psychodynamic principles around the power of the unconscious mind and the impact of our early years on later life, she can help you find a deeper understanding of yourself and your feelings.
Making a decision to start counselling can be daunting and Fiona provides a warm and empathic approach to support you on your therapeutic journey.
Integrative Counsellor
Liam Carney MBACP
I am Integrative Counsellor, meaning that I use a range of different counselling theories to work with my clients and their issues. I use person centred, psycho-dynamic, gestalt and existential as my main approaches, with the aim to help you explore, understand and overcome the issues you’re facing, with a greater depth of awareness.
I work with young people, adults and the elderly, supporting a variety of issues, such as; Male Mental Health, Anxiety, Bereavement, Infidelity, Parenting, Self harm, Relationship Issues, etc.
Psychodynamic therapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner
Sarah Dennis
I am a BACP Registered Member and an experienced counsellor with over 20 years of working within Social Care, Mental Health Services, Hospitals, and Community settings. Throughout my career, I have supported adults from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and challenges, and I bring this depth of understanding into my therapeutic work.
My approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy, which means we explore how earlier relationships and past experiences may be influencing the thoughts, feelings, and patterns you experience today. By gently bringing these connections into awareness, therapy can help create space for healing, clarity, and new ways of relating to yourself and others. We work at your pace, never rushing, and always with curiosity and care.
Alongside my psychodynamic training, I am also a Clinical Hypnotherapist and a Neuro‑Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner. These additional ways of working allow me to draw from a broader range of therapeutic tools, particularly when working with trauma, anxiety, and deeply rooted emotional patterns. I have further specialist training in Attachment Types, Trauma, and Narcissistic Abuse, which informs my understanding of how early bonds and relational wounds shape our adult lives.
I aim to create a warm, safe, and thoughtful space where you can speak openly and feel understood. I offer both short‑ and long‑term therapy, either in person, online, or by telephone. I work exclusively with adults aged 18 and over.

Perhaps you struggle with confidence and feel under pressure to keep up or find it hard to talk about what’s really going on inside. Whether you are a young person or adult, I will offer a safe, accepting and non-judgemental space where I will be alongside you to explore and understand your thoughts, feelings and experience at your own pace. I believe we often know what feels wrong and what could help, but we need support to untangle our emotions.
